Jonathan Harb had one of the best jobs a CG artist could have – supervising digital matte painting at Industrial Light & Magic. In April 2007, after 11 and a half years at ILM, he walked out the door, got an equity loan on his house, cashed in his savings, borrowed money, and took the biggest risk of his career. In May, he opened the doors of Whiskytree, Inc., a concept art, digital environment, and matte painting studio. The studio stretches through the second floor of a three-story building in downtown San Rafael, California.
